2. Aggati Island, Lakshadweep
This island with almost the perfect blend of clear sea water, unlimited white sand beaches and the awestruck sceneries. Aggati Island or Agathy by its real name is one of the Lakshadweep Islands which is open to tourists. It can be reached by an Entry Permit from the Lakshadweep Administration for entering the island; sea route through Cochin is the easiest and safest way to reach there. 3. Elephanta Island or the Elephant Caves
Situated in the east Mumbai, it is a World Heritage Site and visited by most tourists. Elephanta Island gained its name by the Portuguese who occupied the island for some time. This island is famous for its historical caves temples which have been carved out of rock. Elephanta Island is easily accessible through ferries which connect it to Mumbai.
4. Kadmat Island
Also known as Cardamom Island; suited best for long lazy afternoons spent on the sandy beaches, this is the ideal tourist spot for anyone with the best getaway plan. Kadmat Island is famous for the white sandy beaches and snorkelling. In a 2-3 hours cruise from Aggati Island to Kadmat, you can enjoy the beautiful and amazing sceneries including the vast blue sea and sparkling coral reefs.
5. Bhavani Island, Vijayawada
Turned into a tourist spot recently by the Andhra Pradesh government, this island is rich for the sporting and recreational facilities that it offers along side with the rural museums. It can be reached by ferry transport available.
6. Car Nicobar
This island is the capital of the Nicobar Islands which is part of Indian union territory. It has a variety of species which are mostly endangered such as the ‘Dugong’ also known as the ‘Sea Cow’. Car Nicobar is famous for the tourist attractions such as the silvery beach and coconut palms surrounded sea coast.
7. Havelock Island, Port Blair

Often considered as a part of the Great Andaman, this island is famous for being the places for the sighting of the rarest species of marine sea turtles. With the sandy beaches and the magical waterfalls, it offers surfing, boating through the creeks and elephant safari.
9. Ross Island, Andaman and Nicobar
This island is one of the thrilling and loaded with history. Being the administrative headquarters of the British in the Andaman, it has load of historical places- now turned into ruins. Though some the places might be very disturbing, the beauty of this island is significantly the same as before. This island is now a tourist spot.
10. Great Nicobar Island
It is one of the largest island in the Nicobar Islands, it is famous for it lighthouse which is an important landmark for its sea routes. The Campbell Bay National Park is one of the top most visited tourist attractions; it reserves the best glimpses of flora and fauna of the island.
